MBP, the relationship-driven sports marketing agency, are delighted to announce the appointment of Gary Paffett to the position of Motorsport Advisor. A hugely respected and experienced figure within the motorsport industry, Paffett’s new role strengthens MBP’s industry-leading talent management service as the two-time DTM champion will be working closely with each of the company’s talent portfolio.
Paffett has enjoyed a long and storied relationship with MBP and its CEO and Founder, Mark Blundell, having been managed by the company for over two decades himself. Over that period, MBP has supported Gary on his way to becoming one of the DTM’s most successful-ever drivers, promoted a long-term factory association with Mercedes-AMG and helped Gary into the latest stage of his career where he works as the Team Manager for the NEOM McLaren Formula E and Extreme E Teams.
Across a distinguished racing career, Paffett claimed the DTM Drivers’ titles in 2005 and 2018, enjoyed Formula One testing duties with McLaren from 2005 until 2014 as well as the Williams Formula One Team from 2016 until 2018. In 2019, Paffett competed in his maiden FIA Formula E campaign alongside HWA RACELAB and combined this with a host of prestigious GT3 competition as well.
Benefitting from such a wide and varied experience across the industry as well as possessing a deep understanding of MBP as a company ensures Gary is perfectly placed to provide incredible insight, advice and mentorship to the MBP talent portfolio. The new role will see Gary work closely with the existing members of the MBP team to champion the continued success and growth of the agency’s driver clients.
