Howdens, the UK’s leading trade kitchen supplier, has selected the winners of its recent Click & Collect Prize Draw. It offered the chance for two tradespeople to win their business logos on Andrew Watson’s British Touring Car Championship race car. The winners have also received VIP tickets to see their logos in action at the Croft and Silverstone BTCC races.
The innovative campaign was brought to life collaboratively between Howdens and MBP, the relationship-driven sports marketing agency, to open up an opportunity for two winning tradespeople to accelerate their own business. The campaign content delivered by MBP and Howdens was highly engaging, achieving over two million engagements - making it Howdens' best-performing prize draw of all time.
The prize draw was launched in celebration of the newly extended partnership with Andrew Watson and the launch of Howdens’ new Click & Collect service. The service lets customers view local depot stock and confidential trade prices online, place their order, and have products ready to be collected from a depot of their choice within as little as 15 minutes or when they need them.
Shane Lloyd Joinery from Coalville depot, had their logo on Andrew Watson’s race car for the Croft BTCC race last weekend.
Rhemart Ltd, winner from Willesden depot, will have their logo on the bumper of Andrew Watson’s race car for the Silverstone BTCC race in September.
Adrian of Rhemart Ltd said of the win, “We are thrilled to have been selected as winners. The Click & Collect service has been a game changer for us as we have needed to utilise it for last minute products. The speed and convenience have been great and has helped increase our productivity.”
Shane of Shane Lloyd Joinery said the following of the win, “As a small business every little bit helps, so being able to get my branding on Andrew’s car is a huge opportunity. I’m a proud customer of Howdens as I really feel they support me and my business.”
Andrew Livingston, Chief Executive Officer at Howdens, says: “We’re really pleased with the engagement that the Andrew Watson Prize Draw has created within our depots. We’re always looking for ways to reward the trade, and this is an excellent example of how we can do this.”
Michael Pearce, Head of Digital Media at MBP, adds: "From the very outset, this was a campaign that captured the imagination and we were delighted to bring this to life alongside the Howdens marketing team. We love working with our partners to engage with their own business communities and this did exactly that in a really powerful way. From an integrated social campaign right the way through to hosting our winners trackside and giving them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for their business - this has been a pleasure to work on.
